

We’re back in the present, wherein Harlan ( Callum Keith Rennie) stands over the bodies of Jayme ( Cazzie David) and Alphonso ( Jake Epstein). Finally, we see an older Harlan standing by the bedside of Sissy, who’s dying of cancer in the hospital on October 1, 1989.Īfter Sissy takes her last breath, Harlan cries out, and an immense blast of fiery energy leaves his body, destroying everything in its wake.

A montage shows Sissy and Harlan moving to various locations after the latter loses control of his powers. We open with Sissy ( Marin Ireland) and young Harlan (Justin Paul Kelly) driving to New Mexico on November 23, 1963.
